Anyone who knows me on a personal level knows that I am a huge Nas supporter. Mills recently posted a Top 10 list of Nasir’s favorite lyrics. I noticed a couple of questionable decisions by Mr. Ether. Rick Ross? Lil’ Wayne? I understand that Kelis broke your pockets but you can’t be that delirious! L.Gato left a comment on the post because he thought these choices were stank (like stale urine). I still have mad respect for Nas though. Listen to Track 1 on his untitled album (Produced by Jay Electronica). That track was better than most rappers careers. Anyway, how do you feel about it? C’Mon Nas……You’re kidding Right?
I’ve always liked Nas, from the moment I heard him on “Live At The BBQ” and then on Serch’s “Back To The Grill”.
His catalog of albums, minus “I Am, Nastradamus, Street Disciple” is unmatched. I do believe he is still lyrically dominant, but has been making poor choices in terms of who he collaborates with for features and beats. I could only wish for Nas to go back to working with Large Professor, Premo, Buckwild, Pete Rock for example. But I’m come to terms with that fact that won’t happen. But in this industry one can never say never. Big ups to you Stroydnaire, the site is looking great. Continue the great work.
