One year ago today Karriem Riggins, a long time friend of the late Jay Dee released this tribute video. Since today is considered #DillaDay in hip hop culture, I felt it was only right to post it up. I always felt that Dilla was getting better with age and I was heavily influenced by his work on “Beats, Rhymes, and Life”, as well as the “Jaylib” project.
Too much talent, Gone way too soon. Happy Birthday Dilla Dawg.
Shouts out to Maw Dukes Yancey, Illa J, Karriem, Yancey Boys, House Shoes and everyone over at Stonesthrow for keeping the legacy in the forefront.
