Big Pun: (Nov. 10, 1971 – Feb. 7, 2000)

Today, we remember the tragic passing of the late great Puerto Rican MC who repped the BX. His talents and abilities on the microphone were indisputable and arguably second to none. He spit some of the illest lyrics Hip Hop has ever heard along with an incredible wordplay filled with tons of puns, both humorous and serious. Also included in his repertoire, was an amazing and staggering flow. The breathe control he possessed was mind boggling considering his size. Put all these skills together and you get two brilliant and classic albums. The first album, Capital Punishment, made him the first Latin MC to go platinum. I always speak of Big Pun as one of the greatest ever; Top 3 of all time. But, if he were to drop two more albums, I feel he would have easily been the Greatest MC ever, without a doubt.
