Circa fall 1995. “Represent The Real” is my favorite track from the third album by Das Efx, ‘Hold It Down’, available via Atlantic Recording Corp. This Showbiz beat is a slapper first of all and Kris came in and did his thing. DJ Dice on the cuts. Golden era hip-hop at it’s finest. The artwork is from the 2018 reissue which came with some ill extras. I recommend it especially if you are an original fan of the album.
