Mobb Deep is back and today they leaked the first joint off their new record titled “The Infamous Mobb Deep”. I’m not going to lie, I just don’t feel like they have the same draw and star power as they once did. Ever since that twitter quarrel a few years back, they just haven’t came with the same quality as they used to create. They went from getting blunt money tossed at them on stage when people had no clue who they were, to being one of the biggest, most consistent groups in hip hop. Now they are using kickstarter sites to put out their albums. Havoc is a great producer, but now has a hard time holding the torch on his own like he once could. Prodigy has stayed plenty busy over the years through the good and bad, spending time in the studio with Alchemist and his camp. I have the utmost respect for these 2 and want to see them get back to square one where they should be. Maybe this is the record and the time to do it. Preorder it here if you want to support.
