Rapsody is one of the rare type of female MC’s that i really,really appreciate in the Rap Business.
She ain’t like some of these gimmick type of female Rappers that need to have a big fake butt or have to wear sexy clothes and make corny mainstreamish/popish records.
She’s being herself and you can hear that Bar for Bar that she believes in her MC Skills.
9th Wonder has all my respect for giving this Girl a chance to step up to the mic and spit dope Hip Hop Shit – I mean let’s be honest: if it wasn’t for him we probably wouldn’t have even heard from her in ages.
I gotta admit,before i heard her music i was sceptic and said things like: “Oh no hopefully she ain’t a corny type of Femcee” or “I hope she isn’t like Nicki Minaj”
But when i listened to her “Return of the B-Girl” Mixtape a few months back in early 2011 she turned me into a Fan and i’ve been that ever since.
This track right here ain’t no exception and the Raekwon verse tops this even more.
Dear 9th Wonder if you should read this get the rest of the Wu-Tang on this for the Remix too!
Would be a good look for “Rap Diddy” too.
