Wow, talk about being there when Hip Hop was making classics!!  Read about this lucky head engineer who had the privilege of working with some of the best ever:

From 1996 to 2000 I was the head engineer at The Cutting Room in NYC. I had the pleasure of working with just about every important MC and producer that was relevant at the time. From Tracey Lee to Black Rob, from Mobb Deep to Wu-Tang, from Black Star to The Roots – if they were in NYC in that time frame, they all passed thru The Cutting Room and I was the engineer. I witnessed quite a few classic moments in hip hop history. I was the first to ever hear P say “I put my life time in-between the paper’s lines…” on the the beat that would become “Quiet Storm”. I was the first to watch 50 write & spit “Corner Bodega”. I even watched a few incredible beatsmiths, including Alchemist, Just Blaze & Marco Polo, go from making beats in they bedrooms to having mad records in rotation all over the world. My resume is pretty heavy at this point. This mixtape, The Resume, is just that… my resume. Actually it’s just a small sampling of what I’ve done.

Stay tuned for more, I’m goin’ in (next up is The Resume: The Presentation, music I produced for some of these artists that never saw the light of day).
