First and foremost Rest in Peace to Guru!

This cut was and still is one of the most popular Gang Starr records to me and i felt that this song sent out a strong message to the people after Guru passed away.

Especially this verse “When we die hard, they’ll build a monument to honor us with”

His legacy and music will live on forever and shall not be forgotten.

Another reason why i choose this cut was because Premier sampled the first bars of Inspectah Deck’s Part to create the chorus for Non Phixion’s “Rock Stars”
