It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend and mayor of the 7th Boro, Robert Leeper, affectionately known as “Leeps.” He was the heart and soul of this blog for many years, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Leeps was a true Hip Hop enthusiast, and his passion for Hip Hop was infectious. He always encouraged us to give love and appreciation to those who matter while they are still with us. True to his spirit, he would likely not want us to dwell on his loss, but rather celebrate the impact he had on our lives.
We will miss Leeps’ dedication, his perspectives, and his ability to bring people together through his love of music. He was a rare breed and his legacy will continue to inspire us to keep the spirit of Hip Hop alive. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. Leeps, may you rest in eternal peace.
Please honor Leeps by continuing to create dope Hip Hop music. Like his blog name says, “Leeps Isn’t Dead”. His spirit lives on. Play some Wu Tang at very loud levels.
