“Back To ’95” is the second and final leak from Con-Man’s upcoming mixtape Go For Broke which is due out Monday, 2-27-12.
Here is what he had to say about the track:
“I wanted to recreate the essence of the 90’s because it was such a revolutionary hip-hop era. I’m an 80’s baby so I was born right into it. I was a teenager when Biggie and Pac passed and the real hip-hop/street lifestyle ran through my family blood. I wanted to revive the feeling of that era with this song. When the new millenium hit I think that feeling got lost. I’m not a fan of a lot of the trends in the genre right now so I wanted to give that real hip-hop vibe to the listener. Something that here today and gone tomorrow, realistically if you don’t move with time you get left behind…I must’ve gotten left behind because my head at that particular moment, I went back to 95.”
