I recently came across producer Kaytranada, who is slowly but surely making a name for himself. The Montreal native picked up his share of props this year, producing an official remix of Disclosure (“January”) and toured abroad. All this was built off his brand of “sweater beats,” usually most recognized by his ill work with drum patterns. To payback the industry that supported him heavy in 2013, Kaytranada’s giving away Instrumental Hip Hop Is Dead, a dope ass beat tape worth spending time with.
