R.I.P. Nathaniel Dwayne Hale (August 19, 1969 – March 15, 2011)

Nate Dogg made his debut on The Chronic in 1993. In 1994 he produced his first hit single “Regulate” with Warren G. After that, it was nothing but classic hook after classic hook. He was a singer in the purest form.  If you wanted your song to blow up in the 90’s and 2000’s, you HOPED that Nate would rock the hook.  Unfortunately, his solo career never  took off, but there is no denying his talent and his countless classics. In a genre of music where the term “the greatest” is thrown around alot… there is no doubt that Nate Dogg was the greatest singer in Hip hop.

The cause of death isn’t known, but he did have strokes in 2007 and 2008.   My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and all of his supporters.

I remember the first time I ever heard him was on Warren G’s “Regulate”.
